PROGRAMS & CLASSES
Dog training is a lot like fitness training – it takes time and effort to get the results you want. I want to provide a training experience to my clients that is successful and long-lasting, and I developed my programs and classes to provide just that!

Drop Off Obedience Training
Want to just drop off your dog for a couple of hours a week and let me help you with your dog’s training? I’ll keep your pet for a couple of hours for some basic training while you go run errands, grab a bite to eat, or just take some alone time and relax. After 1 1/2 hours is up, come back and I’ll show you what your dog learned. Just think of the bonus this can be to you and your dog! If you are enrolled in a coaching program or group class, drop-off training can supplement what your dog is already learning by providing additional training. Maybe you’ve already gone through a coaching program or group class. Maintain those skills your pet already knows or get a jump start on new skills.
Choose one: Polite Leash Walking, Sit or Down with Stay, Settle/Place, Impulse Control, Waiting at doors, and proper manners when interacting with humans, or you can specify a single behavior you’d like help with.
Drop Off Training Requirements
Dogs must be people-friendly and dog tolerant in order to participate and cannot have significant behavior issues. Reactivity and aggression issues are best resolved through behavior consultation and private coaching lessons.
Drop Off Training is only available on Wednesday and Friday at this time
Drop Off Training is not open enrollment so please understand that due to limited space, I’m unable to offer random drop-offs and require that all dogs be scheduled in advance.
I reserve the right to place restrictions on a pup’s attendance in regard to any concerns that could result in compromising the safety of the dogs and clientele.
Up to date on vaccinations, and clean bill of health
This package includes drop-off training for 2 hours each week for 4 weeks in a row.
Group Obedience Classes
Group Obedience Classes
Group classes are a series of lessons where you learn with your dog in a group setting with other dogs and their owners. For all group classes enrollment priority is given to clients that have already completed a program or a class, but occasionally there are openings available to the public. Contact us to receive more information about when these openings become available.* *Your dog must be free of reactive behaviors [barking, growling, lunging] towards people or dogs to attend these classes. If you’re not sure if your dog would do well in a group environment, we can give you a free evaluation with a meet and greet.
OBEDIENCE GROUP CLASS
Group obedience classes require the biggest commitment on your part to make the training effective. Group classes are set for predetermined days and times. If your schedule needs more flexibility, private sessions may provide a better solution for you. I have a handout on how to choose the option that is best for you and your dog. Please let me know if you’d like a copy.

GOOD MANNERS GROUP CLASS
Learn how to "listen to your dog" as your dog learns to "listen to you." During Good Manners, you will teach your dog how to stay with sit or down, come when called, impulse control, politely greet guests, settle or place, and walk nicely on a leash with the distraction of a group class.
BEYOND MANNERS GROUP CLASS
*Prerequisite: Dog and owner need to have completed the Good Manners or have prior permission from the instructor.
This is an advanced obedience course that also prepares dogs to pass the Canine Good Citizens (CGC) exam. Dogs can be tested and evaluated, by an official American Kennel Club evaluator.
HOLIDAY MANNERS
HOLIDAY MANNERS
Are you worried your dog will jump all over your guests this holiday season, take off with your holiday dinner, or eat all the ornaments off of your tree? Then this class is for you!
This refresher course is here to help you and your dog maneuver through this holiday season without somebody getting hurt or an emergency vet visit! We will simulate different holiday functions (such as greeting guests that arrive or opening presents under the Christmas tree) so your dog is put into real-world situations to teach them skills at this festive time of year. This class is for dogs that have completed a basic obedience course and need a refresher before the holiday season.
Extracurricular Training Classes
Extracurricular Training Classes
These classes are open to anyone that wants to enjoy learning new and fun things with their dog. To attend any of these classes, your dog must be free of reactivity or aggression toward people and dogs. Contact me to discuss how my coaching programs are a better starting point for you and your dog.
SCENTWORK
SCENTWORK
Intro to ScentWork–Level I Follow the Nose
This class is open to dogs of all ages. This foundation class introduces the concept of the game, builds handler observation skills and timing, and gets dogs focused. Food or a toy are used to build a hunting drive while keeping the game fun, building confidence, and burning lots of mental and physical energy.
Intro to Odor–Level II The Nose Knows
This class is open to those who have taken Intro to Scentwork. It will begin by going back to basics and repeating many of the exercises from the Intro class, but instead of food, an odor is introduced. We start with Birch as the first target odor. Searches expand in difficulty and observation skills along with leash handling will expand. The class will be focusing on containers and interiors and includes one drop-in weekend training. *Participants receive the birch odor with their scent kit!
Intro to Vehicles And Exteriors–Level III The Nosey K9
This class is open to those who have taken Intro to Odor. Continue to challenge your dog in the fun game of ScentWork with the Level III class. Dogs will be presented with buried hides and vehicle searches. With more distractions and more odors to add to the game, your dog will love these new challenges. *Participants receive two additional scents!
"Drop-In" means you can show up whenever you want within the timeframe set aside for practices...every week, once a month...whatever you want. Drop-in is an opportunity for handlers and their dogs that have already attended a 307K9 Intro to ScentWork to have dedicated time to practice the skills they are working on. It is expected that you and your dog already know the basic skills of the topic of the drop-in.
***If you've attended other Scent Work or Nose Work type classes please email me first.***
